We have toys like this. Girls play together [and pretend that one is the doll’s mother].

All sorts. Maybe a [one-piece swimsuit], maybe pyjamas…. Some women don’t like to swim with men, just with women, so they might go to a different beach.

In Saudi Arabia, do women swim in the sea?

This is a doll’s outfit. It is a bathing costume. [Until the early 1900s it wasn’t considered the right thing for a lady to do to actually swim. Costumes like this would be worn into the sea just for dipping or paddling.] …Normally the jacket was long, like a dress, and you would wear shoes like espadrilles with lacing up the legs, and a hat or cap.
