I work with the Antiquities collection of Devon archaeology, social history, coins and medals, and archaeology from Egypt, Mesopotamia, Cyprus, Greece and the Roman Empire, so my day-to-day work is very varied.
I focus on improving public access to these collections through documentation, research and digitisation. I lead the RAMM Leventis Project to improve access to the Greek and Cypriot archaeology collection, and the Glass Plate Slides project to digitise and catalogue RAMM’s large collection of lantern slides. I am also involved in developing RAMM’s First World War projects.
Following RAMM’s recent Collections Review I lead the cross-collection Disposals process, and am reviewing our Social History and Technology collections.
I also supervise volunteers and researchers, identify objects brought in by visitors, and undertake talks and events about RAMM’s collections and careers in the heritage sector.

I have a degree in Archaeology from University of Exeter, and MA Museum Studies from University of Leicester.
My heritage experience began in 1999 with a year’s voluntary work at Bristol Record Office, and I have been employed in the museum and commercial archaeology sectors since I first graduated in 2003. I helped catalogue the Devon and Exeter Medical Society’s collection, and for several years was Finds and Archives Supervisor for Exeter Archaeology working on commercial projects across the South West. At RAMM I have tackled the Documentation backlog, developed temporary exhibitions, and designed content for the new galleries during the Redevelopment project.
My main research interests are museum collections policy and practice, Roman tile and other building materials, and Roman burial practice.
