Welcome to the redesigned Research Collection

Using funding from the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation RAMM has incorporated the Research Collection into the new collections website. The features that were successful in the earlier version are all still present.

What’s on offer to researchers

The new website still allows RAMM’s curators to highlight research opportunities from the collections. These show groups of objects that are a potential resource for researchers. The curatorial team will continue to add new opportunities over time. As before a researcher can register on the website and then collect objects to create their own digital collection.

These collections can stay private if the “hidden” tick box is ticked. Alternatively a collection is made public and shared with other website visitors.

The research collection blog

Staff from the Collections and Conservation team are going to post on research topics here each month. It is hoped that this will build into a engaging and useful insight into what museum collections can offer researchers.
