jar with faces (vessel)

Descriptions

The faces decorating this jar include a person and a cow wearing Egyptian head-dresses. This is one of two nearly identical jars in the museum collection. Both jars are likely to be 19th century items made for tourists, but might be Roman.

This object is on display at RAMM in the Ancient Worlds gallery.
