Descriptions
Wood bowl with two thick hide sticks, the membrane tensioned by wooden tuning pegs. The loop handle is made of black imported cotton cloth.
Written on the membrane “Drum West Africa”
Probably acquired in Abeokuta before 1868 by Rev. Henry Townsend.
