wolf leg bone (faunal bone)
Descriptions
This wolf leg bone was found at the Mesolithic site at Westward Ho! in Devon. Wolves were well adapted to life in Britain after the Ice Ages and would have been quite common. Wolves and human hunters would have competed for prey, and would also have hunted each other.
This object is on display at RAMM in the Making History gallery.
