The magic lantern slide here shows a dark image of the Marble Arch in London, this slide was acquired in 1977 with the rest of the collection and was most likely taken between the 19th and 20th century.

William Weaver Baker was a keen local amateur photographer and his collection of lantern slides offer a rare glimpse of Exeter and the surrounding area in the early twentieth century.
