This image is from a collection created by Mr WA Walburn of ‘Heavytree’ Exeter. The lecture comprises photographs of book plates, historic maps and other illustrations, and tells the history of the city of Exeter. This photograph shows men and women standing on the River Exe which has frozen over in cold weather.
