Seaton Down Hoard coin, nummus of Constantine I (coin)
Descriptions
A nummus of the type that weighed 1/96 of a pound. Made between AD 324-330 at the mint in Trier in modern Germany. The inscription translates as ‘In honour of the foresight of the Emperors’. There were two acknowledged emperors at this time - Constantine I and Licinius I.
