finger ring with incised numbers (ring (finger))

This finger ring has the Roman numerals XIV incised into it and probably belonged to a soldier in the legionary fortress. It was found in Exeter by workmen during redevelopment of the city after the second world war.

This object is on display at RAMM in the Making History gallery.
