sculpture of a bird (sculpture)

This sculptural fragment shows the body of a bird with feathers, and the top of its legs. It was discovered in Exeter and dates from the Roman fortress. It was probably part of a larger military sculpture and may depict an eagle.

This object is on display at RAMM in the Making History gallery.
