This photographic slide by William Weaver Baker shows the nave and altar of St Sidwell’s Church in Exeter. This slide is a significant record of the church, as less than ten years later on 4 May 1942, it was badly damaged during the bombing of Exeter during the Second World War. Having lived in Exeter for over 30 years, Weaver Baker’s collection includes many slides of historic buildings in Exeter.
