Magic Lantern Slide: Spanish Armada Treasure Chest (slide)
Descriptions
This image by William Weaver Baker shows a type of storage box commonly called an ‘Armada chest’. It is likely to have been made from wrought iron and produced in the seventeenth century. Baker was very interested in history and heritage and his slide collection contains many images of historic objects, but unfortunately he did not record where this object was located.
