Descriptions
A nummus of the type that weighed 1/96 of a pound. Made in AD 317-324 in Cyzicus (a Greek colony in Turkey), it is one of the earlier nummi from the Seaton Down hoard. The coin was issued by Constantine I and depicts the god Jupiter and the text reads that Jupiter is the protector of the Emperor.
