Magic Lantern Slide: Tazza (Henry VIII) (slide)

Descriptions
This image by William Weaver Baker shows a silver tazza with a leaf design around the stem. Baker also photographed the top surface (see 313/1977/658). Tazze were both decorative and could be used as cups or food. The handwritten label above the image states ‘Henry VIII’ which is thought to be the period in which it was made. Baker was very interested in history and heritage and his slide collection contains many images of historic objects, but unfortunately he did not record where this object was located. The original glass plate negative of this image is also in this museum’s collection.
This object is not on display.
