bottle (bottle)

Descriptions

The upper part of a blue-green glass bottle. These bottles were used during the later first and early second centuries AD and are reasonably common finds on Roan sites.
This bottle was found when the South Devon Link Road was built near Kingskerswell. Archaeological work was carried out by Wessex Archaeology and AC Archaeology in advance of construction of the bypass and comprised the excavations of an important prehistoric and multi-phase Romano-British enclosed settlement site and associated remains at Aller Cross.
