wing (print)
New AcquisitionsDescriptions
This study (together with 4/2020 and 5/2022) show Randall-Page’s enduring interest in forms found in nature. They evoke the intricate patterns of the natural world, especially the delicate, curving structures of insect wings. This aquatint was made using a stencil, as part of an exhibition of the artist’s work at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park in 2009, while the burnt sienna on paper was made as a study for a temporary installation created for One Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London in 2010.
