Gouldian finch (bird)
Descriptions
The appearance of this bird must surely represent one of the extremes of natural coloration. Whilst a very common cage bird throughout the world, the natural Australian populations have declined severely, largely through habitat degradation. This specimen was collected by PH Maxwell.
This object is on display at RAMM in the In Fine Feather gallery.
