Christmas card (card)
Descriptions
Dorothy Liddell was the director of archaeological excavations at Hembury near Honiton, the first large-scale systematic excavation in Devon.
This Christmas card has a rather unseasonal illustration but the picture of a sundial and the motto ‘Amidst ye flowers I tell ye hours) might have appealled to an archaeologist.
This object is not on display.
Inscription
front printed on scroll as part of card design Amidst ye flowers I tell ye houres
inside printed With all good wishes for a happy Christmas from
inside handwritten pencil Dorothy Liddell
