Thomas Pennant was a noted naturalist, antiquary, traveller, and writer. His interests were primarily in biology and zoology, and he published books on both, titled “British Zoology” and “History of Quadropods”. In fact, Pennant’s books on English and Scottish typography stimulated tourism in the area.
