Moa

Description
Today scientists consider there to be 9 species of moa in 6 genera. All are extinct. Their identifications and scientific names have been revised on numerous occasions. Initially males and females of the same kind of moa were thought to be different species due to the enormous difference in size between the sexes. We do not know on which island this specimen was collected, or which species of moa it might be from.
