Jug with bird decoration

Description
The man who donated this object to the museum was Commissioner of Larnaca between 1879 and 1908 and collected many archaeological objects during his time on the island of Cyprus. He also collected a small number of other ceramics such as this jug. The blue decoration on the body is thought to depict a bird with long tail, wings raised in the air and a crest on its head.
