Magic Lantern Slide: Arundel Castle from the Park
- Description
- This slide by William Weaver Baker shows the top of Arundel Castle, West Sussex, above the trees of the park. The castle was left to decay after the Civil War, but it was restored by the 15th Duke of Norfolk and completed in 1900. The discolouration at the bottom right corner of the slide is caused by chemical deterioration. Weaver Baker mainly took photographs in Exeter but also went further afield to produce slides showing interesting architectural features.
