Magic Lantern Slide: Exeter Cathedral, Electric Floodlighting 1933
- Description
- William Weaver Baker’s photograph shows the North tower of Exeter Cathedral, lit by electric floodlight. Weaver Baker was very interested in both historic architecture and lighting effects, and photographed many historic sites around Exeter and beyond. This is one of two images he took of the Cathedral using different lighting techniques, presumably at the time it changed from gas to electricity.
