This is an ancient Greek stemless, undecorated drinking cup or ‘kylix’ with a short foot and a single handle on the side of the bowl. Black glaze covers the interior and extends two-thirds of the way down the exterior of the cup, leaving the bottom third the colour of the natural clay, which is creamy white.
