Magic Lantern Slide: Sight-seeing party arrive at Babylon siding

Description
This photograph by Alfred Oliver Rowden shows a group of military men tourists to the site of Babylon. Rowden was himself a visitor to the site staying in the ‘rest house’ (see slides 45/1960/95/1022 and 45/1960/95/1023). He was in Mesopotamia during the First World War and was not sent home until 1919 or 1920.
