- This photographic slide by Alfred Oliver Rowden shows the inside of a military tent in the camp at Baghdad, with two soldiers resting in the mid-day heat. Rowden was in Mesopotamia during the First World War and was not sent home until 1919 or 1920. He photographed scenes like this to record his experiences.
