Magic Lantern Slide: Christian procession in street

This photographic slide by Alfred Oliver Rowden shows a crowded street scene surrounding a Christian procession with people carrying a large processional cross and banners depicting Mary. Rowden was in Mesopotamia during the First World War and was not sent home until 1919 or 1920. He photographed scenes like this to record his experiences.
