- This slide by Alfred Oliver Rowden shows the Non-Commissioned Officers mess on the PS 25 boat, on which he was travelling to Baghdad. This is a posed photograph with four men sitting laughing together, with towels hanging on the ships rails behind them. Rowden was in Mesopotamia during the First World War and was not sent home until 1919 or 1920.
