- This slide by Alfred Oliver Rowden shows two camels sitting down, being tended to by two men. The photograph was taken in Mesopotamia but Rowden did not record the exact location. He was in Mesopotamia during the First World War and was not sent home until 1919 or 1920, and photographed daily scenes like this to record his experiences.
