Magic Lantern Slide: Woman and man walking in street
- Description
- This slide by Alfred Oliver Rowden shows a man and a woman walking down a street in Mesopotamia. He seems to have been interested in the variation of clothes that the local people wore as this is one of several images of local people. Rowden was in Mesopotamia during the First World War and was not sent home until 1919 or 1920. He photographed daily scenes like this to record his experiences.
