- This photograph by Alfred Oliver Rowden was taken during his time in Mesopotamia where he served during the First World War and was not sent home until 1919 or 1920. This image shows a group of men on a street, but the exact location is not known. Rowden appears to have been interested in recording the different types of dress he saw whilst there. In this image all the men are wearing different items of clothing and head garments.
