This slide by Alfred Oliver Rowden shows a large number of people standing on top of a wall. It is unknown where the photo was taken or why the people were standing there. Rowden was interested in the many different styles of local clothing, and many variations are shown in this picture. He was in Mesopotamia during the First World War and was not sent home until 1919 or 1920. He photographed daily scenes like this to record his experiences.
