Magic Lantern Slide: Street with wall and tower

This photographic slide by Alfred Oliver Rowden records what is probably a small minaret with an intricate entrance to a mosque on the right. The minaret is built into a wall behind. A number of women and children are walking towards the mosque entrance. Rowden was in Mesopotamia during the First World War and was not sent home until 1919 or 1920. He photographed daily scenes like this to record his experiences.
