Description
In this painting Brian Rice explores the distinctive shapes and features left by prehistoric people in the landscape. These hidden archaeological features are revealed by aerial landscape surveys. Rice started working with aerial photographs of archaeological sites in 1994, two years before this painting was made.

This painting was donated by Brian Rice to an auction for the Exeter and Devon Arts Centre (Exeter Phoenix) and was the purchased by RAMM.
