- This beautiful teaching slide created by PH Gosse is of the spotted cowrie which can be found on Devon’s coastlines. It shows the sea snail with its brightly coloured mantle partly covering the pale shell. Below is a diagram of the snail’s ‘teeth’ - scientifically this is known as the radula.
