Eskimo curlew

Description
Until the late 19th century millions of birds migrated from North to South America each year. But increasing agriculture in the prairies and hunting led to a dramatic decline, so that the Eskimo curlew is now critically endangered, and may be extinct. Collected in ‘Lechevallier, N America’.
