- Description
- The sub-fossil bones of this extinct bird were collected by Captain W Setten of Exmouth. Between 1877-87 he commanded ‘Pleiades’ which was a ship involved with New Zealand emigrant trade. It sailed roughly once a year with a one way journey taking about 95 days. we do not know to which species of moa these bones belonged. This bone is part of a tibia.
